So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow
to anger; for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God.

Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up
as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don't grieve the Holy
Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness,
wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind
to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ
forgave you.

In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
But he who restrains his lips does wisely.
The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
The lips of the righteous feed many,
But the foolish die for lack of understanding.

There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise heals.

Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down,
But a kind word makes it glad.

A gentle answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Where there is no counsel, plans fail;
But in a multitude of counselors they are established.
Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth.
How good is a word at the right time!

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

He who spares his words has knowledge.
He who is even tempered is a man of understanding.
Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise.
When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning.

The words of a man's mouth are like deep waters.
The fountain of wisdom is like a flowing brook.

The words of a gossip are like dainty morsels:
They go down into a person's innermost parts.

A word fitly spoken
Is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
Do you see a man who is hasty in his words?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

"Every word of God is flawless.
He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Don't you add to his words,
Lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

Jesus Christ is Lord!
