On Saturday I made two major mistakes that cost my boys any chance of being Star Patrol. I had ask for their forgiveness, but I felt realy down. Saturday night after they were all in bed I went for a walk and I was talking to the Lord. I could not "feel" His presence at all so I ask for a touch from Him. Next morning I was talking to Liz Robinson (my Senior Commander's lovely wife) and she was trying to encourage me to look for ways I could improve how I do things. Then out of nowhere she made a comment about how things in our childhood effect us today. It hit home like I had been hit with a sledgehammer (not the gentle touch I was expecting). I was then able to deal with issues rising from that and it will make me a better Christian and leader. Liz and Paul are really good Mates and I'm proud to know them in that way. You see, friends just hang about and are fun to be around, but they seldom impact in out lives. Mates and fun to be with, but they will help you grow, They encourage you to grow closer to the Lord, they support you in times of need, they speak into our lives and help bring about change for the better. You know what? The Lord's like that too, so I can say the Lord and me are mates to. There's a storm coming, our Storm. PROCLAIMING GOD'S LOVE TO A DYING WORLD Say to the captives, 'come out,' and those in darkness, 'Be free!' Isaiah 49:9 Love in Jesus Adrian Bonham aka Morning Light, The Larrikin I looked to the heavens to where God dwells I looked into my life to see he lives there as well.
