In about three weeks, I'm making a trip to Papua New Guinea at the request of my missions director. The purpose of the trip is to arrange for my family and I to move there, and to make some arrangements for cooperation between Wycliffe Bible Translators and Evangel Bible Translators. I believe that this is a very good thing, and another step towards getting the Word of God to more people who don't yet have it in their language. We are determined to obey God and go where He calls us to go.
Please pray for us:
* For the air fare for this round trip, approximately $2200.
* For safe and smooth travel.
* For good timing and Divine connections.
* That our steps would indeed be ordered by God.
* For more partners to stand with us in prayer and finances.
* That we would stay focused on God's calling for our lives, no matter what.
* For Lori and the boys, while I am gone.
We thank God that we have some good and faithful partners already, and we believe that we will be up to 100% of our minimum required budget by the time we are to go to PNG. We believe that God is pleased when people support his work, and we know that He says some very good things in the Scriptures about it:
You will do well to send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, because for the sake of the Name they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles. We therefore ought to receive such, that we may be fellow workers for the truth. -- 3 John 6b-8
