I had the same thought until they came up with higher taxes for old cars
with not-so-modern engines.
I pay 10 times higher taxes for my '91 VW T4 2,5 liter Diesel van than for
my wifes little '97 1.4 liter Peugeot 106.
The little guy has to pay only DM 120,-/year !
Even the VW van has so many bypasses and hoses running wild that on first
glance you don't know where the guy is breathing through.
Black boxes and multi-colored wires running to and fro that I am afraid to
look at one for fear of disrupting eelectronic considerations.
Many have been the days when I dreamed of my many VW beetles and Renault
4's.
The '69 Ford Falcon 6-cyl I owned in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Or the '69 Pontiac 6-cyl that I lubricated with the used engine oil of my
'78 Plymouth Custom Suburban in Calgary.
With one screw driver and an adjustable wrench from Sears you could get them
beauties back to highest performance.
For high tech two wire ends and a 12 V lightbulb removed from your (
neigbours - on loan) car did the job for setting the timing for the spark
plugs.
Those were the days when water running through your leaky windshield right
into the radio operated with tubes would only enhance the reception of
remote radio stations.
Playing Country while your socks got wet.
29 cts a gallon, imperial that is.

Could you please explain to us the goings of a Pee-Cee in the same sweet
way ?
Or should I try myself first ?
So you pour water through what hole in the Pee-Cee housing ?
Will a 5gal bucket do ?
When it found the ground, the water I mean, how do I collect it again to
have it repeat the cycle ?
Do I place the Pee-Cee in a tub ?
Ok, now I know.
I use an un-plugged bath tub and at my command I open the shower head and so
repeat the cycle.
Via the water treatment plant and stuff.
Learning by doing.
BTW, the company I worked at for twelve years for closed down and now I am a
free man !
