Thank you so much for your prayer support for my recent trip to Papua New Guinea.
This trip was more of a success than it appears. On the surface, it looks like I fearlessly travelled thousands of miles to a spot in the mountains on a tropical island that God has called us to, completed all of the items on my checklist, and returned safely to my wonderful family. I did all of that, but the real success is much deeper. It is hard for me to put into words, because it is about a spiritual connection with a place, ordained and blessed by God Almighty. It is about a confirmation of what I already knew God was saying at a much deeper level, and about an assurance of
God's will for our family and the faith and great peace that comes with that assurance.
Papua New Guinea is much like I imagined from studying about it and talking with people who have been there. With all of its advantages and disadvantages, this one outweighs them all: that is where the grace of God will be on our family, because that is where He has called us.
