Well, considering the Constitution, Mr.Lynn has anti-American spirit. Because America itself has Bible in it's foundation. And that's why it is blessed.

Why don't you guys announce Mr.Lynn anti-American? ;-)))
I know, it's not that easy.

May God bless President Bush

A Praying President

Recently, USA Today published a picture of President Bush praying.
This brought immediate criticism from Barry Lynn, executive director
of Americans United for Separation of Church and State.  "He's trying
to impose his religious views on other people," said Mr. Lynn, a man
who is trying to impose his anti-religious views on other people.  When
I read Mr. Lynn's statement, a chill ran up my spine, and Thomas
Jefferson's words echoed in my mind: "I tremble for my country when
I reflect that God is just and that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Will enough people with little historical understanding, less spiritual
discernment, and no heart at all for the true foundations of the republic
be able finally to convince the rest of us that God has no place in our
national life?  "Forbid it, Almighty God!"  (A phrase from Patrick Henry's
"Liberty or Death" speech which is usually censored by people like Mr.
Lynn).

Why can't our president, or anyone else in this country for that matter,
be free to pray or talk about God?  In the last election, vice presidential
candidate Sen. Joseph Lieberman mentioned God too often and was
roundly criticized by the Anti-Defamation League, an organization that
should have been defending his right to speak freely of his Jewish faith.
Reactions like these defy logic, unless we accept the reality of a secular
worldview that strongly defends its faith against all others and also
blinds
many to the benefits of a praying president.  It's only our ignorance of
our history and our Constitution that allows any credibility to be given to
such intolerant statements.

We've had many praying presidents, but our first, George Washington,
set the example:  "Almighty and eternal Lord God, the great Creator of
heaven and earth, and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...
direct my thoughts, words and work, wash away my sins in the
immaculate blood of the Lamb, and purge my heart by thy Holy Spirit...
that I may with more freedom of mind and liberty of will serve thee, the
everlasting God, in righteousness and holiness this day, and all the
days of my life.  Increase my faith in the sweet promises of the Gospel...
make me always watchful over my heart...daily frame me more & more
into the likeness of thy son Jesus Christ...."

These words are from a manuscript written in George Washington's
hand, when he was 20 years old.  Modern revisionists insist
Washington wasn't a Christian but a Deist, meaning one who believes
in an impersonal God who no longer listens or responds to the prayers
of humankind.  But no reasonable person can read prayers like the one
above or the hundreds of speeches, proclamations, and letters of our
first president and not believe he had a deep commitment to Jesus
Christ.

The USA Today article stated that President Bush's faith "is a 'great
comfort' to him, but some worry frequent prayers mix with policy."  I
hope so.  Policy influenced by an all-knowing, Almighty God would
surely have a better chance of success.

So I pray that President Bush continues to pray.  Maybe he'll even write
some of them down, like George Washington, or write a book of Jesus'
sayings, like Thomas Jefferson.

If Americans United for Separation of Church and State are worried
about George Bush's prayers, how do they react to the fact that George
Washington's have survived for over 200 years?  This one is marked
"Monday Evening:"

"Most Gracious Lord God, from whom proceedeth every good and
perfect gift, I offer to thy divine majesty my unfeigned praise &
thanksgiving for all thy mercies towards me.  Thou mad'st me at first
and hast ever since sustained the work of thy own hand; thou gav'st thy
Son to die for me; and hast given me assurance of salvation, upon my
repentance and sincerely endeavoring to conform my life to His holy
precepts and example.  Suffer me not to be drawn from thee, by the
blandishments of the world, carnal desires, the cunning of the devil, or
deceitfulness of sin...discharge my mind from all things that are
displeasing to thee, of all ill will and discontent, wrath and bitterness,
pride & vain conceit of myself, and render me charitable, pure, holy,
patient and heavenly minded...."

Thank you, Most Gracious Father-God, for a praying president.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions,
and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are
in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness
and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our
Saviour;
