It is very early Sunday mornng, and I am sitting up so that I can breathe. I have struggled with this for a couple of months with no answer as of yet, and all my nerves are jangling with the heebie jeebies. I have been thinking about this ranger net and have decided to speak up and encourage all of you.
We have a lot of sickness among us and maladies that are long lasting. I'm watching as different souls admit to failures, feelings and frustration on many fronts. There have been a number of you who have been laid off, hit with sudden misfortune and trouble in your homes. We are a needy people just like anyone else in this world. But, I am here to say I for one am very proud of the fact that you go to church on your ranger night and meet with boys and girls who are anxious to do what ever you have planned. Who look up to you and say to themselves, "I want to be like that." You go home from work, grab a cold bite of something promising yurself dinner afterwards, change into your uniform and fly off to the church hoping no one is in the room that you share with many other functions before you so you can set up. You put up with church brats in hopes of reaching them, you put up with bus kids who have no idea how to act, and worst of all, you put up with adults without vision. That's a tall order when things are going well, but when you yourself are troubled and broken hearted, when you ache in every fiber of your body and your brain is overloaded with burdens, that is a miracle. Each of you are walking miracles. You and your spouses. It is clear to me that the Kingdom's success is made up of people like you who sacrifice and say nothing. You choose between getting yourself a new pair of shoes and a neat handiwork project the children will love. You go to Pow Wow tired from work knowing you won't sleep all weekend, but the boys must have a good time and stay safe. You eat food not fit for human consumption made with pride and love and you smile when you are finished, only to be offered seconds. But you also are witnesses of the coming of another good man into the adult world when you present a GMA. (which by the way, you worked for just as hard as the child did) You are the one who gets the triumph when a task is completed or an award is given. You are the one they think of fondly when they are in boot camp using the skills you taught them, you are the one that sat outside their tent and let them know you are there when they were a tiny bit afraid of the dark night. So, I am saying to you all, dont give up and don't give in. You are warriors in a mighty battle. The skirmishes all around you are the "little foxes that spoil the vine". You can do this. The Bible says so in PHILLIPIANS 4:13, and the Bible is true. I love all of you. Janet _______ This mailing list is dedicated to the glory of God. Let the Golden Rule be your daily rule.
