I noticed the Williamette River is running brown and high..
There's a chance of snow today... and we are 4" ahead of normal on rainfall. That means out of the last 30 days 22 were rain<G> @.5" to 2" per day. The one full day without sprinkles, I spent at the beach camped out in a dune watching a clear sky and star show.. *Lucky Dog... The forcast is for rain all week- all day, all night with storms backed up to Japan<G> 16,000 miles of open warm pacific ocean builds powerfull loads of moisture in low flying cloud formations sweep east by the winds and currents of the Ocean. As they cross the coast in Oregon the land temp. changes and the clouds must rise over the restricting hills of the coast and the Cascade mountians.. *They rise by dropping weight in the form of rain or snow. This time of year, many storms form in the wide Pacific. They cross faster than they can rise over the mountians so what you have on the ground is non-stop storms<G> If grey skies and wet shoes make you happy you are in hog heaven here.
