I don't know a thing about what happened, but here's what to do to avoid the same result... 1. Reach,Teach and Keep the boys in balance with outdoor activities. 2. Hold planning sessions and allways work from a writen agenda. Save these notes and file them, for when people come to tell you that you didn't do anything<G> 3. Avoid useing the "core group" for Leadership.. No one man or family needs the burden of a RR Outpost. Spread out the responsibility as well as the praise for the success. *Give it your best, then give it away. 4. Use your greatest resources... the boys! When something good is alive boys naturaly want to be in the middle of the action. Make RR a good time and a good thing. Make it alive! 5. Don't get in any conversations about "proveing the worth" of RRangers. Your investment is in the future, and the cost is great. Others can do what the Lord leads, I'm chooseing to be a RRanger. 6. Show discouragement the door. Work for success, start small and build on it. 7. If you become lost.. stop wandering and go back to basics. 8. If criticizum comes, remember it's not about the boys.. they are raw talent<G> It's likely not the "program" as RR has been tested for 30 years.. So it must be something about- Leadership. *and as we all know- ===== *High MORALE is the Index of effective Leadership. --------------********+********-------------------- Morale raises belief of the Leader in the follower, of the follower in the Leader, of each in themself, and both in the .....cause! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
