I need a trustworthy, reliable volunteer to update the RangerNet.org web site for the Cyber Pow-Wow and to maintain it and the mailing lists while I am off in the jungle and no where near anything remotely resembling an Internet connection during the first part of 2002. Qualifications for the job are:
1. Spirit-filled Christian with a heart for ministering to boys (and girls, where appropriate) through Royal Rangers. 2. Above reproach and unquestionably honest. 3. Must understand & have access to Microsoft Frontpage software. 4. Must be willing to commit to the job for at least 6 months (preferably a year). 5. Must honestly have the time to devote to updating the web site as people submit web pages for inclusion. 6. Must be willing to periodically check the moderator email account, delete the spam, and unsubscribe addresses of cancelled accounts and other permanent causes of bounced mail (and to be able to discern between transient and permanent failure messages). Optionally help clueless people to subscribe, post, and unsubscribe. 7. Must have a servant's heart. If we have no volunteer, I then have to decide if I want to: 1. Shut RangerNet (or portions of it) down permanently, 2. Let it go in fully automatic mode (with no changes to the web site for Cyber Pow-Wow or any other reason) and hope nothing crashes for 4 or 5 months, or 3. Shut RangerNet down temporarily. Frankly, of the mailing lists available on http://RangerNet.org/subscribe.htm, only RangerNet, Prayer, Bible, HNV, and RRGold are active enough that anyone would likely care if we shut them down today. _______________________________________________________ _______ This mailing list is dedicated to the glory of God.
