Here is the scoup and it works good. The young lady that does this is
very good at it. She is close to being in the Down Under next to
Victor and Adrian on a missions trip. (Hope she gets them saved)

Muddy Glove (SIN) 1. 3 glass bowls- (or something you can see through) Fish Bowls
from Walmart work great!
2. 1 pair of white cotton gloves- (cotton is the only material the iodine will disappear in) 3. Water 4. Paper Towels (and plastic bag to put gloves in after experiment) 5. Iodine- (Walgreens has the 8 oz. bottle for $6.49) -(about 2 tablespoons or a 1/4 cup depending on size of group and if they can see the the bowl) -When I buy an 8 oz. bottle of iodine, I like to get four experiments out of it. That’s 2 oz. per use, but I never measure exactly. 6. Sodium Thiosulfate-(photo fixer, You can get it at Lawrence Photo on Campbell for $2.50 quart cheaper in the larger size.) Mix according to directions on box, however you can dilute it more and have the same effect, You can use bleach as well, but it is hard on the skin and on carpet and clothes if you splash or spill. Not to mention the smell and wear on the cotton gloves. Directions:
You may begin with all glass bowls empty or filled, whichever you prefer. I
have done both depending on the group and the story line. I like to use this
experiment with the story of Adam and Eve and the fall of man leading up to
Salvation, also when giving lessons on true forgiveness. When telling about Adam
and Eve I like to keep the bowls empty and add everything as the world was
nothing and God brought everything into existence.
Dip and talk is how this story goes, First into the iodine representing sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness, second into the water which represents the world’s way and the wrong solution, third into the right solution which is Jesus. After dipping the hand into the iodine being careful not to get it on your clothes, make sure you keep your hand over the table or bowl because it will drip. Use caution in dipping and sloshing as excitement causes messes. Slow movements increase the curiosity of the listeners. When you have washed your hand in the water and the right solution you go
backwards and, repeat each step. Dip your hand into the water again and the
right solution already in the glove will clear up the water. The verse I always
use there is “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel” God wants every
part of our lives to be clean and holy. And last but certainly not the least I
always pour a bit of Jesus and the right solution into the bowl of iodine which
of course turns the iodine into a clear liquid.
This represents Christ taking over our whole head -even the yucky parts,
even our sin. That's why He died for us. Great story and a great producer of
Wow’s! from the audience. Many children in our Bible schools have been saved
