To All,

As I sit here typing this to you I want to express to the Lord my joy that I
am here with my family enjoying both the freedom purchased for me by Christ
and that purchased by the sacrifices of others who are separated from their
loved ones this Christmas and on Chrismases past.

My oldest son knows what a history buff I am. The fact that he works at
Barnes and Noble Booksellers gives him a unique opportunity to satisfy that
quirk of mine. This year he gave me one of those giant coffeetable books
that you always leave out for the guests to see how eclectic your tastes
are. The title of the book is A Century of War.

I know. What a morbid subject to talk about. But as I leafed through the
volume I was reminded of the cost for me to sit at my computer on Christmas
day, with my sons playing their new Game Cube, while peace reigns in my
home.

All the sons (and daughters) who have paid that cost are types of the Son
who paid it all so that we could have access to the Father. Remember those
who stand between ourselves and chaos and remember the One who stands ever
making intercession for us to the Father. Our Great High Priest whose blood
speaks louder than the blood of bulls and goats.
May His Name be praised forever!

Jesus! Jesus!! Jesus!!!

Merry Christmas

Gary Burn'n Heart
