Yes that is what I understand. They never get past the wedge stage in the younger groups. It takes a older boy to really get creative and make some neat cars that flat out fly. Seems they have made a major mistake as All men and boys love the races of all ages. I am glad Royal Rangers still include them all. It is a great chance for the older boys to mentor the younger ones in crafting methods.
One of my coworkers is a cub scout mom who helps out where she can. We talk ranger/scout stuff and talk about activities. We had an event close by her house last year a sectional PW derby race. I invited her and her two cub boys to stop by and see a race Ranger style. 400 cars running 4 lanes 4 times was a sight to behold. They were surprised Best part is they showed up right at devotion time!
