I just got back in town from a one week trip (business) to Colorado Springs yesterday to find out that my house and family had been without power since Wednesday. Our power was restored sometime this afternoon. The kansas city area got hit with a major ice storm and many people have been without power. On top of that... power lines, poles, limbs and tress have been falling everywhere because of the weight of the ice. My front yard looked like a brush dump with all the limbs in it. I guess I get to finish cleaning it up tomorrow.
Colorado Springs was beautiful. I was able to visit with the first outpost that I ever worked at - Radiant Assembly of God. The pastor there is one of the boys that I worked with in Kid's Chapel in 1980! More about my trip later ... it is good to be home and have power...
