[RR] Pinewood derby design

All, This week we will be getting our pinewood derby kit for our race sometime in March. Right now I'm plaining on going for either the General Lee or a 57 Chevy. I might try and build them both if I have the time. My question: How do you get some of these designs into a single block of pine? would you use two blocks (one for the body and one for the roof) and glue them together?   Thanks, Noel"Spirit Rider"Bell
