I've got a question for everyone.  Does anyone know what the OFFICIAL policy of the National Office is about chartering non-Assembly churches.  Or, do you know where I might find this policy.  Thanks, all.

How about a quote from the District Leadership Training Course on the subject:

CHARTERING POLICY FOR NON-ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCHES

Before the national office can approve the use of the Royal Rangers program by non-Assemblies of God churches, the church making the request must meet two requirements: (1) it must have a harmonious working relationship with the Assemblies of God, and (2) it must secure approval from the district superintendent of the Assemblies of God in the district in which the church is located.

The first step is to secure a copy of the Non-Assemblies of God Charter Application. The front of this application is basically the same as the regular charter application. The back of the application has several statements that must be acknowledged and signed by the senior pastor of the church requesting the charter. Both sides of the application must be filled out completely.

After the application and fees are sent to the district Royal Rangers Office, the application must go to the district superintendent for his signature and final approval/disapproval. A first-time request will also require a letter of intent from the church, stating that they would like to use the Royal Rangers program in their church. It must be signed by the senior pastor and include a copy of the churchs bylaws and a doctrinal statement of what they believe.

One of the biggest dilemmas that the national office faces in processing these applications is the lack of the district superintendents signature on the back of the form. The district commander must communicate with his district superintendent to ensure that the application is signed before it is sent to the national Royal Rangers Office. Even if the application is denied there is an appropriate place on the back of the charter application to indicate that the request was denied.

Once the district superintendent approves or denies the request, it can be forwarded to the national Royal Rangers Office. The church should always be kept informed of any developments concerning their charter application.
