*I crossed the Columbia River and passed through a marsh
area this morning and migrating brids had made a stop overnight..

Suddenly, as the sun was comming up.. they came alive.

There were THOUSANDS!

They rose.. and I could "feel" them lift.. like when you
observe something large that is on a "plain"... that moves.

They then started to fly in a circle, and it was like a storm
cloud of birds.. some went the oppisite and others went the
way of the flock.. But the more that joined... the more crowded
the sky became and portions began to fly off in different directions!

What was ONE big flock began to seperate into two then three
groups as they spread out... *How did they come to choose direction?
*I thought..

They still circled their marsh,
and then each group broke away.. SW East and west..
It was like watching a cloud break up..

*I was amazed.. I heard them make sounds.. *and I heard them
flap their wings.. It was like a big fan!

Then to my amazement, as the birds flew off.. they automaticly
formed "V" shape flight wings! They were at different altitudes,
but all over the sky were "V" shapes flying east to Mt.Hood...

HUNDREDS of flights!
If the "V" was heavy to one side, some birds flew up to get it right!

These was zero of these things: / or these: \ just this!:^^^^^^^^
