It has been said that the greatest enemy of excellence is "good".
Another thing that has recently pricked my already stirred up heart was
when I heard it preached that "to fail to prepare is to prepare to fail".
Thus, I have poured my heart into the policies and procedures
handbook, part of which I published in this list recently. I am about to
meet with our Pastor for review and hopefully approval of the material. I
have had requests that I publish the final results. I would be blessed
and absolutely thrilled to be able to share the finished product with any
and all who are interested, so that some or many Outposts could benefit
from whatever they feel led to use of the contents. I've had lots of
input from Commanders all over the country, so our Master Ranger, the
Lord Jesus Christ get ALL the glory!
As for our Outpost, we have no choice but to minister to boys
through the age of 12 and no older. We are not only understaffed to
continue to the older boys, but have that ceiling set in place over us
through the spiritual authority here. And that's something I've
definitely learned not to buck against. And now, after seeing some of
what has been written lately, perhaps our ceiling is divinely ordained.
