I heard there was a skit in which the only word was 'Right', and its homonym 
'Wright'.  With changes in inflection, we can make it a question, a 
sarcastic comment, etc.

Tony Borders told his Puppeteer class that in Chinese you must recognize the 
difference between three variations in pronounciation of a certain sound.  
To English speakers, they sound the same.

In RangerNet, we type the words, so we can tell if someone like 'Youth' or 
hates 'Uth'.

I've been told people on the phone can tell when I'm smiling.  A Customer 
Service seminar said a large percentage of American office workers swear 
when their phone rings.
