Yep!

my experienze:

One time we planned cool rafting trip for our outpost. We prepared for it.
Children were waiting for it very much. They got encouraged...

And our church moved the Eastor celebration right to this date.

I was in the business trip when my wife wrote me an e-mail saying that one
of pastors is not totally happy with our plans. Commanders discussed this
situation (without me) and decided: they will go for it. Didn't the church
know? We can't let boys be discouraged. Oh, no no...

Well, I thought about it, and I prayed about it, while in the trip. And I'd
feel bad about it. I write to my wife an e-mail and tell her: *Cancel the
trip.

Everybody in the outpost were not happy. As I found out later,
If I would go for this trip, (even though we all seems had good motives)
pastor would have closed our outpost. And I would no longer be a Sr.cdr
---------------------------
This and other cases...
Many of us were young and hot ...
(or say, make a little inmature decisions that seemed to be right at the
moment)

But there's the rule:
*IF PASTOR SUPPORTS AN OPOST, IT WILL GO GREAT

*IF PASTOR JUST LET IT GO, THE OPOST MIGHT SURVIVE AND EVEN BE GOOD (this is
my case)

*IF PASTOR IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE OPOST, IT WILL CLOSE
Even though it was good and fruitful.
Commanders can try and run it at our own risk. But it will eventually die
anyway. (Unless God will give him a new vision for it). Sometimes opost just
don't fit in his church, his plans. And pastor don't like it. And no matter
what you do, if pastor and church has bigger priorities, and Rangers are not
in the list at all...

...then read the Eagle Dad story <:((
=======================================
So there's another rule. :-))) (There's always good rules in the Bible)

TRY TO LIVE/SURVIVE WITH PASTOR (whatever you can)
PRAY FOR HIM
AND TRY TO WORK OUT THE SCHEDULE AND OTHER STUFF.

And if he just doesn't want to do it and has other plans,

Well, there's always plenty of other churches God has for you. Sad, but it
is pastor's church. Let him choose. And forgive him.

Sometimes life is tough. And we got to live it. Would be cool if I was
wrong, huh?

My sad and humble .02
imho
