Can I get my to cents in here?
I believe that what Jesus was saying to Mary had to do with her
not wanting to leave his site and also not wanting to let go of him.
( CLINGING ). This clinging was not what Jesus wanted her to do. He
wanted her to go tell others about his resurrection. He said let me
go or stop holding on to me. Jesus had other things to do and needed
to leave. She just wanted to hang on to a body, and we as Christians
need to hang on to our faith and let those things go that seem so
important and do those things what God wants us to do. Mary had a job
to do and didn't want to leave.
This is a graet message in this scripture and needs to be used for
all of us. Many just want the glory of Jesus and Cling on to him and
never leave his site. This is not what called us and saved us for. He
saved us for his work, and to tell others of his Resurrection. Many
people just want to be lazy Christians and sit around, but God wants
us to work for him. This may lead us into many valleys and places
that seems far from the Lord but that is where the souls are. So stop
clinging to Jesus and get to work Bro.
I know you have heard that song: "MY HOUSE IS FULL BUT MY FIELDS
ARE ALL EMPTY< WHO WE'LL GO A WORK FOR ME" That is what he was
saying.
Also, you must realize that Jesus wasn't upset with Mary, and we
need to realize that they did embrace each other. Jesus did show her
that He cared and loved her as a follower of Him. he was not mad or
upset with her clinging, but that he needed others to know of his
resurrection too.
We also need to realize that it was a women that use to be a
Prostitute, is now one of the first to see Jesus resurrected. She is
also the first to spread the gospel of his resurrection to others. It
wasn't his disciples who saw him first, IT WAS A WOMEN!!!
    GOD BLESS Chaplain Jeff
