The most practible and cost efficient pants are the Bundeswehr-combat pants.
The pants of many pockets.
You slide down on a rough file and it does not effect them (much).

We may freely wear them at all functions with the exception of
training-camps as NTC.
Even our CO's wear them only dyed in a different color than NATO-olive.

As Duane states the Levis are the preferred thread over here.
Freshly washed and ironed, worn with dress shoes they make a good
impression.

BTW a sharp uniform don't make a sharp Ranger.

Betreff: [RR] *Kahki pants don't cut it.

*Never have- never will..

Just back from camp.
Rained heavy in a big storm..

Just looked at German Rangers and a universal cry from
the OBVIOUS.. is that Khaki Pants don't cut it.

The "OBVIOUS" prefered trouser for Rangers is blue jeans.
This for 40 years has been there and done it "on the sly"
Because for some reason the color of the shirt is OK and
combineing it with matching pants is.. *Ugly/dork/geek

(There I said it for the boys<G>)

Any other color "work pants" is a good compromise, and
adopting forest green would signal a positive change, and
encourage boys to arrive in a full uniform.

*Dark pants/trousers/jeans are the norm, don't show spills
or dirt as well and are colser to Uniforms seen in the Forest
Service and Scouts.

*I beleve we should promote this connection to "Forest Ranger"
rather than "Para-Military"
