Right real open minded I'll bet..<G> There was a segment about the conflict of conscience between students with reguard to the scientific method and the subject of human origins. I watched it with my son, GMA#3911 and told him that I didn't fear open discussion of any subject, and welcomed him to use his own mind as he continues his education. That includes biology,psycology and compareitive religion and logic classes.. They followed a Christian student to class at Wheaton College as he attended his biology class and went home to talk things out with his conservitive Christian family.. The point Josh and me caught was that the Dad stated the Bible instructs us that much foolishness is the outcome of men trying to understand science, since it is the divine-mystery that created Earth in 6 days. The man's son had valid questions and notions about his evolveing understanding of science, as a good student should.. *Then the comment was shared, that Wheaton College recieves letters from Christian parents concerned that in sending their kids to a College that they would some how lose their "Faith" with being shown the secular evidence for human origins. Josh had me remember when during a guest lecture at a local Outpost, I was talking with the boys about "critical thinking skills" when a wistle blew.. and the Ranger boys ran downstairs and stood bolt upright at attention in Commanders random "readiness drills".. He then inspected each boys and if you didn't flinch, he gifted you with a candy bribe..<g> We returned to the "lecture" and I made the jump in logic that what had just occured reminded me of "DOG TRAINING" Critical thinkers in the room left and reported that Cdr.Duane's opinion of OP354 was that they practiced "DOG TRAINING" and the Sr.Cdr. squared me away<G> MORAL- *If you speek yur mind be prepared to recieve some guff..
