It was a combination of Slim Jims, candy and who
knows what else. Bus ride through the Lake of the Ozarks hills. And, walla,
instant spew all over the inside and outside the bus. Young man is fine. We had
to wait about 15 minutes before cleaning up. Everyone helped. Makes for a great
reminder to not mix food groups and ride a bus.
Blessings,

Subject: Kybo- was: [RR] Outhouse
In Scouting.. the term for the Outhouse is "Kybo"
I
don't know why or where that term comes from, but it does seem to limit the
confusion in conversations with boys about what we are talking
about<G>
One of the things to look for in any group of boys
is confusion about basic sanitary facilities, and even the proper use
of them, as they allways are very different from most modern
homes.
While it may not be the most pleasent
conversation..
*I've had some success with promoteing hand washing
and establishing basic hygene in camp with piped water. When primitive
camping- Hygene is sometimes hard to watch, but as the boys reach 13 or
so.. their awareness increases and in time they do take care of
themselves.
I've never brought this up on Rangernet before..
But
it's quite possible to get a boy sick real quick by poor hygene. Also
in cases where a sick boy just makes a mess by soiling his sleeping bag or
hurling dinner on himself..
I think it very important to have adults
act quickly to clean him up and get him back into play as soon as
possible.
Ever had this happen? What would you
do?
