Our school system begins with Kindergarten - for 5 year olds.
Year 1 = 6 year olds
Year 2 = 7 year olds.
These three grades make up the Infants school.
Following this is four years of Primary school [often in the same facility as the Infants school] with years 3 to 6 [ages 8 to 11] respectively.
Then comes high school - year 7 to year 12 [12 to 17 year olds].
