Hello
Have just a couple of questions. I have recently been given the AWESOME
oppertunity to lead the Royal Rangers at the church my wife and I recently
began attending. Our Royal Ranger program is still in its infancy. It has
been in action for about a year, but it is in essence a bible study( not to
say that a bible study isn't extremely important)but we haven't began the
great quest of finding a balance of Camping/ Devotionals/ Training needed to
have a well rounded program. My questions to all of you are as follows:

1. What are somethings that I should know before I begin? anything that you
wished someone would have told you before beginning your program.
2. What are the best tools needed( ie. books, references, etc.) to have a
positive impact on training?
3. I know that there are websites that have useful information, what do you
think are the best for a. camping. b.ropecraft c.firecraft etc.?
4. Is there any software out there that is tailored to the Royal Rangers, as
far as keeping track of the boy's advancements and keeping track of the
requirements for merits?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. God has given us
an oppertunity to do great things for his glory. With his help and yours
(gramps always said, "find someone smarter than you and learn what they
know."), I /we can make an impact. God bless.
