The Commanders I have been working with here in AZ and when I am Cal. including the Jr. Academy programs have a heart for Christ. We have worked with prayer with commanders that pushed a military type program reminding them that Rangers is for reaching, teaching, and keeping boys for Christ.
Yes, we teach how to perform Honor Guard and some drill disciplines but at other outpost but we also teach the discipline of a daily time of prayer and Bible read time. We avoid the military look by our uniform of the day on campouts and district and sectional events. My boys choose, with guidance, their uniform of the day depending on the event. We are all building boys for Christ and I would not be disappointed is any of then would choose to become a Chaplin in our Armed Forces because we do need men to ministry in Christ in this area. Rangers is not a Para-military program but it is a ministry to be used of God as commanders giving boys and young men the tools to grow in to the men of God our churches need.
