I have oft times heard that it is best to remain silent and thought wise
than to open mouth and insert foot. So I guess I'll jump out there and just
bite off my toes. In today's society(?) we have become so brain washed to
believe that all is well with the world since we are Americans and We are a
world power. Our so called society has begun it's downward decent into the
annals of history as another fallen democracy due to the guaranteeing of a
person's right to freedom. We have allowed those disenchanted with our
country to burn Our Flag a symbol of that freedom, and have also allowed
others to invoke their way of life to the extent that we cannot express a
simple greeting like "Merry Christmas" without ensuing a law suite for
discrimination and bigotry. I know that America is the melting pot, but
what ever happened to the Golden Rule. In all things treat others as you
would want to be treated. So if a Senior Senator makes a mistake if commits
the dangerous occurrence of Foot in Mouth Disease, if he apologizes, what
not forgive? Isn't that what we would want others to do to us? I am in no
way for or against Senator Lott however, People do make mistakes. Look at
Adam, we've been paying for his mistake ever since Eden. Thank God that he
has found a way for us to be forgiven.
