Our son ex-Ranger Max when he was 18, maneuvered (Moms) VW Golf into a light post .
6wks after getting his license and Zero driving experience on black ice.
He crawled home with a bent front-end.
What should I do he asked me.
I said: Fix it !
(You have to be tough to yourself otherwise you steal accomplishment from "babe" by "Hand me that wrench".)
Since he watched Mr. Dad fix his cars mainly the A1-way he asked for the best J-yard.
He aquired the necessary cargo with Dad's hitlist and fixed it with occassional consulting.
A day later on a coold and wet night in February he proudly showed me the fixed car.
Well done, son !
Especially when 550,-DM have been saved.
BTW yesterday he fixed the left outside mirror on Dads VW-van after a wild school bus knocked it to pieces.

wrench-wrench.. pry-pry.. reef-reef Kah-chunk and a
Honda master cyl. fell out the bottom of the doner car<G>
1 hour later.. *On the road again..<G>
*There's choices here-
Josh and me didn't have the $330.00 us bucks to throw
at someone when we could do for ourselves, *with just a bit
of knoledge and ambition<G>
Josh told me as he drove down the road..:
"I feel pretty good that we did that Dad.."
*Ah-huh.. YOU DID IT Josh.. *I just watched<G>
