tape a non inflated balloon to a drinking straw. Feed a string through the
straw. It should be about 8 foot of string. Attach the string to the wall a
little higher than the height of the boy. instruct the boy to blow up the
balloon and pinch the end to keep the air from escaping. Let three boys go
at a time and use the elimination process to get a winner. All they do is
hold the string taut with one hand and release the balloon with the other.
We have had a ball in the past doing this. We call it the great balloon
races. Competition is always fun and you can introduce the term trajectory.
Makes for good devotion ideas. janet
