Okay --- who is the wise guy that unsubscribed me?  No mail in two weeks and I was beginning to think that rangernet got raptured without me!!!

I wanted to share with you something that happened to me a couple of weeks ago proving once again that God is my co-pilot.

I was on my way to work and was going through this area called the "Grandview Triangle" where several roads connect to each other.  As I came onto the entrance ramp, a semi started to come over into my lane.  Had there been a shoulder on the ramp, I would have gladly moved over to it, but this is also a construction area so all I had on the passenger side was concrete barriers.  The back tires of the tractor hit me near the back of the van. I scrapped the wall a couple of times as the semi scraped the driver's side of my van (you can see tire marks on the side of the van).

I stopped and the truck kept going.

I chased the truck that was going about 70 MPH and caught up to him about 3.5 miles down the road.  We won't mention how fast I was going to catch him.

We both pulled over and called the police.  The police said that I was "lucky" to keep the van off the concrete wall.  We know that luck had nothing to do with it.  He then pointed out the hole that the truck's mud flap holder poked in my door just below the mirror.  Had I not broken contact with the truck at that time, the holder could have opened up the front fender of my van like a can opener.

The van is still driveable and I was able to walk away from the accident.  My back is hurting a bit, but that will heal in time.

When I think back about how many ways that morning could have ended differently, I know that God is my co-pilot!
