I'm a big booster of Josh Wheeler gma#3911 He's a senior.. and we planned to apply for College and take advantage of a tuition benifit I have on the job at a University.
I guess I admit holding some "energy" on that. Last night at the local bookstore I picked up a US News and World report that held the college rankings and admissions advice<G> I started to look at it and put it down, then brought it to work. At 11am I got to the part about the College Josh wanted to apply and to my amazement....... Deadline for nextyears falls classes was Feb 1! *A frieght train of emotion began to build... help,help,HELP! *For all my planning, hopes and dreams... agreements and going on about foo-fawRaw, *Josh,Jen and yes.. ME! fell asleep.. we droped the ball.. we stepped in mooseberry pie!<G> TODAY IS FEB 12TH! ------------------ I went to the phone.. I hit e-mail.. I sought some face time.. and pulled Josh out of school and had him drive over.. "Gee dad.. I haven't seen yah so bothered for a long time<G>" We hiked a half mile up to the College admissions in a panic mode.. My chest was tight.. my head pulsed and I was huff'n and puff'n! My Brain was numb and blank<G> "So Dad.. I think I found a loophole" "FAT CHANCE" said -=A=- We hit the big ManorHouse door of carved wood and steped into a 1920 castle with rich wood and tapestry. Leaded glass windows showed me a *picure perfect view of oregons Mt.Hood.. *Yes? said the lady- I couldn't speek. *Josh steped up.. Admissions? Yes, I'm here to settle a question my Dad seems concerned about with reguard to admission deadlines.. *I was under the impression that I could delay my app. past the due date if my current transcription and grades were late in being published, isn't that so?<G> *That might be so... said the lady However the deadline is feb. 1st... *Well then, I also wanted to apply via the Portfolio process and need to talk with someone about recieveing my materials that *I have collected.." *Oh! no problem.. Hi Josh, I'm Soloman your councilor.. We have a stack of app's and I understand your request.. *no sweat you have till say.. Monday morning? *How about that?<G> *Great! said Josh.. (*smile, eye contact and handshake) See yah! The sun was out.. so we went over by the Chapel and sat on a cedar bench by a fountian.. "So Dad, mayby this is a wake-up call to prayer<G>" *PRAYER! ah... Josh spoke: "yea.. you know I'm in transition and one of the things I've noticed is that God talks to all of us.. but you seem to be in tune to his voice<G>" What's he saying today<G> *That's when it hit me.. "Josh.. God tells me that I will be on the very edge of my seat at every point of decision with you.. I may be brought to the brink but in an instant... It's going to work out<G>" Josh chuckled... "Yea..
