Now, Now, let us not forget that being a twin, or triplet or quintuplet are natural clones.
My whole concern about the cloning this is a lesson I learned from watching Star Trek. As crazy as it may sound the lesson learned was not really about Star Trek at all, Star Trek was just the medium used to present it. The episode went that the crew arrived at this planet that was cloning it's inhabitants. Everybody looked the same and they were having a problem sustaining their population because their genetics were starting to break down. The reason for the genetic break down was due to replicative fading. What this is, that after so many copies of something have been made, the information in this case, the genetic structure, starts breaking down at the sub-atomic level and loosing the information it once contained. The so called planet wanted new DNA to help replenish their gene pool since it was all the same. The scary part is in all actually that is a path that could very well end up being us. Let me use another example, does anyone remember the old mimeograph machines that schools used to use? The big stinky clunky things that teachers would use to replicate papers that they had wanted to pass out in large quantities? The teacher would load the master copy into the machine. It was very nice and crisp, but after so many copies of the page it would get blurry and look like garbage. This is what replicative fading is. The only way to correct the clarity of the page being copied was to run it again and not make a copy of a copy of a copy.
