A WAKE-UP CALL FROM HELL! This pastor apparently had not heard the words spoken to me by my esteemed friend and former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at an international conference in Jerusalem at which we both recently spoke. He said, �Mike, this is what I told the House of Representatives Reform Committee on September 24, 2002, �What is at stake today is nothing less than the survival of our civilization. We must talk in these apocalyptic terms. We received a wake-up call from hell. Now the question is simply this: Do we rally to defeat this evil while there is still time, or do we press a collective snooze button, and go back to business as usual?� At the Kennedy School of Law, I met with the Director General of Israel. I asked him, �Please tell me how you can blow up a demon with a bomb?� He answered, �Mike, these demons blow themselves up.� It is impossible to defeat a demon with a bomb. Demons are not required by law to clear customs. Where did the demons go that possessed the 19 terrorists on September 11th? What demon is resident in Saddam Hussein? I am not a demon-chaser, but I refuse to believe that those who attacked America in such a barbaric way were not demon-possessed. Are Demon�s Spirits behind this and orchestrating it? Then there can be nothing more important for God�s remnant to do then unite in prayer. Daniel did and won. We can too! President George W. Bush made the statement, �We must take the battle to the enemy.� His decision is a wise one. But he cannot win this war, no matter how hard he tries, if the church sleeps. We must fight darkness with light through prayer. This can be the finest hour for believers if we wake up and act NOW �Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits� (Daniel 11:32). We must also take the battle to the enemy!
DON�T MESS WITH PROPHECY For many, there is no greater proof of God�s sovereignty in the world today than the survival of the Jews, and the existence of Israel. It is an utter impossibility to separate Israel from the war on terrorism. �When the Lord shall build up Zion, then shall he appear in his glory.� (Psalm 102:16) The Bible Land has been the spot where heaven and earth met, and will meet again. Jerusalem is the vortex, the portal through which God has talked to man. The destiny of the world is tied to Jerusalem. THE BEGINNING OF THE END! 9/11 �Babylon has fallen, has fallen! All the images of its gods lie shattered on the ground!" (Isaiah 21:9) �With a mighty voice he shouted: "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.� (Revelation 18:2) On September 30, 1980, the former head of Israeli intelligence, Isser Harrel, told me in his home, �If America forces us to give up land-for-peace, you will have peace for a season. But, the terrorists will come for you, in time.� �Where will they come,� I asked? He replied, �Your largest city, New York, and your tallest buildingS� (This story appeared in the Jerusalem Post on September 30, 2001.) Because of what Harrel said, I wrote a Novel in 1999 �The Jerusalem Scroll� in which Osama Bin Laden buys a nuclear bomb from the Russian Mafia with a plan to blow up New York City. It is time for Christians to rise up, and cry out! (Isaiah 60:1-4) The church must return to its first love. God�s remnant must stand in the gap, pay the price, and become watchmen on the wall. GOD�S PRAYING REMNANT HOLDS THE KEY TO VICTORY! It is easier to fight than to pray. This is the reason the church has done more of the former, and less of the latter. But, as children of God, we do not have an option. Prayer is not the �best� answer; it is the ONLY answer. It is not the �last� resort; it is the ONLY resort! THE KINGDOM OF BABYLON IS BACK! As amazing as it might sound, most of the entire terrorist-supporting countries are part of the ancient Babylonian kingdom. This kingdom covered most of Saudi Arabia, portions of Iran (ancient Persia), Syria, and even the areas that Arafat and his terrorist organization controls. Sin entered into the world in Babylon. It was the site of Satan�s first appearance in Holy Scripture. It was the spot where he poisoned mankind. (Genesis 1:8-14) It is also the site where the battle that will signal the beginning of the end will take place. THE TRUMPET IS SOUNDING! The hoof beats of the red horse rider can be heard approaching. The trumpet is sounding. Why is the church not alarmed? Amos 3:6 reverberate with a warning to the compromising church: �Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?� Israel has only about a six-minute warning before a missile attack is launched. In Washington, Pentagon officials have warned that if threatened, Iraq might use chemical weapons against Israel and Kuwait. The Jews in Israel are staring into the face of a madman, their next-door neighbour, who is determined to go out in a blaze of glory. If he cannot take out America, the Great Satan, he will try to destroy Israel, the Little Satan. Belshazzar, the son of Nebuchadnezzar, mocked God. He took the holy vessels from the Temple in Jerusalem, and filled them with wine. Suddenly the fingers of a man�s hand appeared, and wrote on the wall of the king�s palace the words, �Mene, mene, tekel upharsin.� The king�s knees literally knocked together. The queen told him that there was a man in Babylon in whom the Spirit of God dwelt. Daniel interpreted that inscription: �You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting. Your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians� (Daniel 5). Daniel prevailed in prayer and the Lord won the battle. You and I can too. The hour is late but it is not too late to stand in the gap! If Prayer was the most effective weapon for him then prayer must be the most important priority now! �Then he continued, ODo not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to fast before the Lord, and pray for understanding; that very day, I was sent here to meet you� (Daniel 10:12). Indeed, the battle will be over Babylon. Military experts predict that Saddam might use chemical and biological weapons. Among them may be anthrax, botulinum, or ricin (a potent, deadly protein toxin derived from the beans of the castor plant). The same experts predict that Saddam�s 100,000-member Republican National Guard will fight to the death in urban, hand-to-hand combat. It is also thought that he will not defend the nation of Iraq, but will rather concentrate all of his forces on a battle in Baghdad. WHAT THE WORLD WAS NEVER TOLD! The world was never told that "Saddam had pre-delegated orders to Iraqi SCUD units to launch missiles filled with biological and chemical agents at Tel Aviv if the coalition marched on Baghdad in 1991. His final act would be to rid the Arab world of the Zionists," according to Kenneth M. Pollack. Mr. Pollack was the principal working-level official responsible for the implementation of U. S. policy toward Iraq for the National Security Council. (U. N. inspectors obtained access to this top secret classified report after the Gulf War.) SHUT THE LION�S MOUTH What must the church do? If Bible-believing Christians cry out as did Daniel, then the mouth of the lion will be shut, the fire of the furnace will be quenched, and there will be a fourth man walking among us. The winds of Armageddon are blowing strongly in the face of America. The smoke of the Great Tribulation is creeping into the nostrils of every American. The destiny of the world is tied to Jerusalem, and the spirit of Laodicea must be exposed, and ruthlessly rejected. The consequences are life and death. Daniel refused to stop praying even Though it could cost him his life. (Daniel 10-13). Because of his commitment, God shut the lion�s mouth that had been designated by hell to kill him. In the midst of Israel�s captivity in Babylon, the Lord said: �For thus says the lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me and I will listen to you. And you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:10-14 The balance of power is in the hands of God�s people. We can either sit back and sleep, just as we did before September 11 th , or we can unite, shut the lion�s mouth, and invite the fourth Man into this fiery furnace. The Hebrew children did, and won the battle! �And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase� (Daniel 12:1- 4).
