I personally was quite impressed with the movie. I consider myself a Civil War history buff and found the movie to be VERY accurate. I also liked how the movie showed Jackson's Christianity, I believe Jackson was true in his faith and relationship with God. Unfortunately because of the Christianity showed and the fact that the South wasn't so bad I'm sure the movie won't win many awards like it should. Every parent needs to see that thier children see this movie. I wish it was required in school. I also saw the the Focus on The Family website liked it as well.

I watched twice a DVD about Gen Stonewall Jackson and
the purported faith of the leadership of the Southern cause..

The movie script carried snippets of "things said" and attemped
to put them into context such as:

"Let us now cross over the river to rest the shade of yonder trees.."

or..

"There is no more sublime word in the english language than duty"

or..

"It is well that War is so horrible, that we should grow so found
of it's honor"

*I'd like to know why my American heritage is so fond of the
Battlefield...  Why we say we seek Peace... but find fault with
each other and cannot find our way to respect others who's politics
or religion may differ from ours.. allthough for reason of conscience
we do not agree with them.

There is but one true God.
His commandment is to Love one another.

All men are born his children, Fathers,Lords and Generals
All men die to face God for judgement.
