Whoa, Whoa, Whoa.  Wait a minute.  Australia is about as far SOUTH as one
can get.  I always thought heaven was to the north and that other place was
to the south, or down under.  Or is that a Chocolate Thunder from down under
that I get at Outback Restaurant.  Anyway, on MY map, heaven being to the
north, I think I am closer.  But, know what, it don't matter.  Just as long
as we meet there in the future.  God Bless.

It seems that both you and our beloved Larrikin are a little bit navigationally challenged, confusing North and South with Up and Down. Since I live in the mountains near the equator (which compounds the elevation due to the "Equatorial bulge" of the planet's shape), I think the Australian phone would have to patch through here, but telephone service here is not cheap. Praise God that I don't have to rely on telephone service to connect to God the Father! Jesus is the only Way, and His Spirit is local to all believers. (Psalm 139)

Hallelujah!    :-)

I purchased a nice world map in a bookstore in Brisbane. It is oriented so that North is up, and Australia is above the centre of the map. PNG, of course, being closer to the Equator, is very near the centre. Why not? Most maps printed in the USA show North America above the center of the map. See ethnocentrism in the dictionary.

Greetings from tomorrow in PNG!
