My son has spent an amazeing amount of quality time with me over the summer, as he prepares to enter College.
Sometimes he shocks me with his honesty and his outright ignorance.. and pushes me untill my brain feels numb<G> He does all these things, and then lands square on his feet... At times, you'd never suspect he was a Royal Ranger/Scouter for the music he prefers makes Ozzy seem a geezer<G> ..but that don't mater- he's got his things and I got my things. He's up at Seattle today with a scout buddy checking out the U of Washington and some of their programs, and life in that "Big City" His current reading intrest is about the Japanese "Bishido" code... Anime Japanese games and stories, political science and United Nations study. What kind of job with $$$$ can come from that! Recently we are building a tube VW sand rail and he's become a fair welder and shipfitter<G> and friend. That doesn't mean he don't get a chuckle when I drop a clinker down my boot, burn my hand raw or get in trouble with Cdr.Jen. In my failures he draws confidence, and with my tangled up words he sorts out the truth. He enjoys the power tools... I coil the cord..
