Hey just a side distraction. My 10 year old son has been on me to build him a tree house. Well were up to $300.00 of my very own mad money into this one and its still under construction. You won't find many like this one. GRIN! Its RANGERIZED!
Its 11 feet from the floor to the ground. 8x12 feet wide and has two trees supporting it. We just added the 16' home made ladder and the firemans pole today! Railing and a little 5 x 8 house is still being visualized. The Treehouse is supported by 2 trees and uses 3/4" bolts and 4x6 beams and 4x4's to support it. Today it was really windy. I felt a little sea sick and my wife about had a coronary when she came up top. My ole sectional commander muscles are screaming for a break! Ever built a tree house with up to 8 neighbor boys trying to help you? I have GRIN! These boys are fired up now you would think I was selling icecream when I get home from work! First thing they do is check my old red truck for materials..next question...you ready to work! It's been a lot of work and time and money but its worth it.
