*I can't answer that... While I was up to speed on Royal Rangers before the re-vamp the new changes only involve current Rangers... and linkage to past program is now made redundent.
*Someone has chosen to cut ties with the past. Wilderness walker that I am.. I will survive, but likely not ever return home again. GMA#3911 is a product of the previous "Gold track" 3 tier Ken Hunt era program. I am a product of the Cdr. Johnnie original.. *There was a obvious evolution between those two programs that made my return a pleasure as it directed my path as a leader to build bridges for young men to follow. Whith that powerful heritage, I worked hard for Royal Rangers in my church and here on Rangernet. It's my opinion- This re-write was intended to "Burn Bridges" without consideration of past Rangers investments. Here's why... It's now clear that those in favor of "Ministry prime" have won favor over "Lifetime Adventure/Whole Boy" program mission. I'll let you stand up for the changes in you responces as you see fit.. The Troop just returned from a 125 mile canoe trip in Canada and the court of honor wore out my hands clapping for the tons of advancement earned by 57 boys doing the "program" No more- No less. We in RR used to share a kinship with Scouting.. But what was traded away was the belief that a boys involvement in RR was in everyway equal to BSA Eagle. For years that was the understanding that had us try to operate a Outdoor program with Christian overtones. That effort was declaired a failure by the criticizum the Gold Trak recieved by the "pastoral review" and enforced by the sovern ownership of Royal Rangers by the Assemblies of God. They demanded change, we recieved change. Cdr.Johnnie has now left the building and it is being imploded. Fact.. 1. You can't pick up a phone book and find Royal Rangers listed outside of Springfield Mo. 2. You only discover a Ranger outpost by stumbleing into one by chance. 3. There's a clear reason why no one has heard of Royal Rangers. 4. The reason the BSA Eagle is recognized by the US Military is for *proven leadership training and character development, NOT christian ethics. 5. Outdoor adventure is redundent to the new Ranger program. In closeing- Someone is driveing the bus to a destination. You are on the bus.. or you are off the bus.. But the bus is headed it's own way. -=A=- --- Commander Pier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Well, now that I know I haven't been voted out of the outpost, here's a > question: > > I have the Adventure Rangers grades 6-8.
