Somebody's always going to complain just to
complain. They do it all the time about anything. On the National level, State
level and local levels. Even right there in the churches. Time to look at the
bright side, the fires are awful, One positive that can be found among the ashes
is that the fires took the beetle with them. Burnt wood never bothered the
Rangers before, but never before has there been that much either. It's kind of
interesting to me to watch Arnold and Davis doing things together in the last
days of Davis' tenure. That is what surprises me. As always, in
prayers

Subject: [RR] So Cal District Campround
status
Just received this message this
afternoon on the status of the So Cal. District Conference facility &
RR Campground we plan to build across the street from it, all of which is
right smack dab in the middle of the fires. Lake Arrowhead is to the
East & Crestline is to the North of the facility.
Some of the neighbors complained
about the RR Campground - so as one Staff member put it, first he sent a
plague of Bark Beetles, next the sent a plague of fire to help them change
their mind.......
It's still okay except for some fringe timber areas that have
burnt. The next 36 hours are very critical. The fire is coming
from Crestline (back of) and from Lake Arrowhead....two directions. Keep
praying!!!
