Cdr.Victor- I got a grip. *I think the real issue is upholding REAL values before the boys instead of easy "follow the leader" politics. One measure of integrity is: "Did you completely earn that award?" Many boys and even Commanders don't care about the integrity of the award for various reasons. Sin enters when we allow a half done job to be recognized as honest achievement. *Awarding honor to a un-complete task is a sham! When the president of the USA says: *I will restore honor to the office of the president" We Americans take him at his "word". We invest our hopes with him to do right, and pray for his successes. Lt.Bush had a duty to report, attend reserve meetings and fill out his military obligation completely with no excuse. *period. I know this from experiance. That is why we should remember the sacrifice of PFC Mitch Silvers.
