Sen.John Mc Cain was injured and bayonetted on capture by the NVA. He was refused medical assistance untill it was found his father was in Command of US Naval forces pacific. *Rather than being used by the enemy.. He refused an offer for release. Mc Cain showed COURAGE and INTEGRITY when his life was on the line. Sen.John Kerry served as a LtJG in Costal Division 11 RVN '68-'69 as skipper of PCF44 and PCF98 He served his crew with distinction and was awarded the silver star, bronze star for personal courage under hostile fire. Kerry returned.. and protested the war. He let his hair grow and held a "sit in" leading to his testimony before the US Senate on the subject of US War Crimes in the conduct of the Vietnam conflict. *Burn'heart- *That makes sence to me. ------------------------------------- I don't think I got the key-strokes to "sell -it" but I do got the heart to know that in spite of wide differences, Courage to do your duty- in spite of dange,criticisum or threats is a Virtue! This he did a conscience decision to represent ALL AMERICANS- even to the exclusion of his personal convictions, because of Duty- Sen John Kerry yesterday won New Hampshire ect. but was also asked about his "faith". Kerry said outright that he would not appoint anyone to Judicial position that would work to overturn the law of the land with reguard to a womens right to choose. That follows his membership in the Democratic party...yadda-yadda.. *What I am going to do is just watch. ------------------------------------- Christian Virtue's would not generaly lead us to WAR as a moral nation.. A Just and moral nation would do everything possible to use the civilized remideys of diplomacy and mediation before uni-lateral armed invasion. GW Bush says he did.. Truman said: "The Buck Stops here" Royal Rangers pledge: *With God's help, I will do my best! I take that to mean, to try and with the help of GOD succeed at my best! *I do not understand that to mean- "Oh well, I did my best..." Pro-life could mean: *Natural conception to natural death.. Allowing the grace of God to act in his will for all mankind. In the case of USA Evangelical Christians it generaly does not. "Pro-Life" means being predisposed to opposing abortion, and not becomeing overly critical of invasion, war or public exicution. *Salvation in Christ, trumps those fleshly concerns of social welfare. I'm tired of waiting for GW Bush to do something good.
