Loaded for bear. The truck and Trailer are full of tools. Spent half of the week working on tooling up for the lock in and the other half working on 3 cars in my garage. Sometimes a few more times as my son and his neighbor got busy with the dremil..."Mr. Mark can you fix my car" as I look over my glasses at his nawed up creation...30 minutes later its back to shape... (another strong warning... you mess it up you live with it....well knowing it will come back again and again and again....GRIN! (Thats how they learn!)
It amazes me how these tools get so out of wack so quickly. Put on new bandsaw blades 2. Fixed a broken cast mount on one portable bandsaw with some J.B. Weld. installed new belts fixed tracking, tightened up allen screws on several machines... why do they put those things where we can't get to them....grin! Installed new dust collection system to 2 sanders, 1 bandsaw and 1 scrolls saw. Used 4" DWV as a main and used gates to shut down the flow...anything will help. Made 20 paint blocks basically a 8" piece of 1/2 plywood with 4 1.5" screws ran through them to hold a PW car up for painting (works great) purchased enough backup supplies to keep it all working for a day and half. Brought about 70 pounds of lead to melt in the lead pot. Dug out all the stuff that makes it all work. Laid down to take a nap and had Twenty Thousand thoughts going through my mind...so gave up on that and got back up and here I set waiting tell its time to leave...the calm before the storm. We are meeting at Nixa AOG in their Gym at 5:30 to setup tables, tools, registration etc. Lock in starts at 7pm. No supper tonight just a snack. We will be doing the new tool craft merit and laying out cars for the first couple of hours as this give the Ranger Kids a head start to get their cars started. Then while the Discover Rangers are doing tooling craft we will be coming in to get kits to cut them out on the saws while the boys are learning..(No sense in having them stand in line all night..). Then council fire and snack.
