When they say plastic, they probably mean that the racing surface is plastic while the rest of the track is wood. Generally, the track-builders around here use a sheet of FRP for the track surface. (It's the stuff you find on the walls in McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc. Hard plastic 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick and virtually indestructible.)

- Good report. Our outpost track is due for a tuneup as well. It is 9 years old. It has the latest state of the art supertimer stuff. Our hosting church just got the newest plastic track and were setting it up durning the lockin. I didin't get a chance to look it over just a glance or two.
- How big is your sectional races? We will be running about 250 - 300 cars or more in a couple weeks. District Commander said he sold over a thousand kits this year. Hope to see them at Sectional Races.
- I enjoy hearing what others do. It gives me good ideas and keeps my edge sharp!
- Thanks for sharing and stiring up the Spirit to Reach, Teach and Keep all for Christ!
- We made a Texas Marshmellow Gun and had a tournement. The boys loved it. I will post pictures and plans in a few days. You guys have to get this. Its easy and fun and the boys love it and its safe and clean...not much can meet all those categories!!!

- We had our race on Friday. Went pretty good. 100% of our Disc. Rangers who had cars showed up. I will say, it is time for a new track(12 years old). Too many cars jumping the outside lanes. Well it's off to The Section race next Saturday.
