I think it was much scarier than the walking puppet suit on TV. Barney
the dinosaur doesn't eat people's dogs, as far as I know.

When I was in Boy Scouts, we often tried to get people to go on snipe
hunts. Only when my sons were in Royal Rangers did we actually find a
snipe. There is a real kind of bird called a snipe, and you can find a
stuffed one at the museum in Rocky Mountain National Park, and also at
the Denver Museum of Natural History. Both are good places to take
boys for an outing. In the Denver Museum of Natural History, there are
some reconstructions (from dead bones) of dinosaurs, and in a museum
near the Fruita entrance to Colorado National Monument, there are some
animated moving dinosaurs. There are also some active dinosaur bone
digs in Colorado. The only place in the world where I have heard
possibly credible rumors of live dinosaurs living still has been in
the sighting alleged in the news article I quoted in East New Britain,
and on the other side of the island I'm living on, New Guinea. I feel
like I'm living in a time warp. I know guys who make stone tools and
such, but now prefer steel bush knives and axes. Now there is talk of
dinosaurs not all that far from here.

Life with God is an adventure!
