Did you get any pictures? When I was learning how to do this I brought all the materials and had the boys crank away what I thought would work. We made lots of smoke... but never got an ember. I even offered a 20.00 bill to anyone who could get a ember. So I went on a quest to figure it out. I figured out a method that worked then a week later I was shown a new method that I now use in the kits. I have been thinking of putting in a break down bow in with the kit. My wife just shakes her head at me. I just get a kick out of it for some reason. GRIN!
