*Amen!
Be advised that some current churches do not promote or endorse that
link between Men's Ministries (Honor Bound Men of promise) and Royal
Rangers.. but put the Ranger program under children's ministries..
I have NO IDEA how this came to be..
Ranger LTC course work then as well as the organizational structure
found in the leader handbook then becomes a contenscious item, and
potential basis for disagreements.
Please avoid the pitfall I fell into of backing Ranger training as
gospel... The gospel in a word is LOVE! and to be in love is to be
in unity of spirit. I've had to step back to understand this and it is
a tuff chunk of jerky to chew<G> I'm "Ranger" to the bone, but I'll
admit that only means I need "tenderizing" from time to time.
A "traditional" Ranger organizational situation seems to be best with
churches in the 300 member range... In churches of that size, things are
different, maybe lay leaders have more sway. ..and Rangers is a bigger
deal<G>
There is a AOG flyer that shows a graph that churches of that size *give
more- per individual than smaller or larger churches, and just to be
open and honest, *I think it's easy to "dodge responsibility" in a
bright and shiney new 7 million dollar barn<G>
(Of course talk like that has hauled -=A=- on the fancy purple
carpet<G>)
