Eclipse Report from Outpost 51, Nelson NW England.

We were able to observe a solar eclipse of approx 85% totality in our area.

Weather was fine but had a light cloud covering.

Projection through a pinhole camera & telescope onto backscreen was adequate
and yielded good results.

The national TV coverage was as one would expect very good.

Two cameras (one with filter and one to view totality) were fitted to an RAF
C130 Hercules and these gave very good pictures as almost all of Cornwall
was covered with thick cloud.

What an irony, the only place in Britain it could not be seen was along the
line of totality.

However, the corona displayed well and the diamond ring effect was
spectacular.

Back in our vicinity just at the moment of totality the Lord graciously
allowed our family to view the eclipse direct by placing just the right
density of cloud (to filter out harmfull rays) infront of the sun.

What a wonderful sight to see the signature of God in the Sky.

Harold do you have anything in your files to relate to this?
