We just got the Veggie Tale video called "The Rumor Weed." It should be
required viewing for anyone who forwards email messages anywhere. For
example, today I just got yet another copy of an outrageous accusation of
Proctor & Gamble being satanic because of their moon & stars trademark.
This kind of false rumor causes economic harm to an innocent company while
making Christians look stupid. Before you forward any "rumor," PLEASE check
it out.
By the way, rumors can be hard to stop even with very credible evidence and
reliable witnesses to the contrary. Here is a letter from the Rev. Thomas E.
Trask:

To Whom It May Concern:
The rumor concerning the Procter & Gamble logo being some type of satanic
symbol or their being involved in satan worship keeps surfacing from time
to time but there is no truth to it. (Enclosed are some letters and
articles that will verify that the rumor is false.) I would encourage you
to do what you can to stop this from spreading inasmuch as Procter & Gamble
has been very open with us in their business practice. These rumors have
been proven false and verified by us and such other leaders as Billy
Graham, Don Wildmon, Jerry Falwell, and other prominent Christian leaders
here in the States.
Procter & Gamble has successfully filed suit against persons who have been
involved in the circulation of this rumor and are willing to file suit
against anyone found guilty of propagating it. We urge you not to become
part or party of promoting this false rumor.
I trust this information will help you to stop this and avoid any possible
law suits against the parties who are circulating it.
