[Delayed - nonmember submission. This is the first mass-mailing by a list
nonmember that I have ever approved on this list... but it is on topic, and
some of DJ Nemes' stuff on his web site is useful. - MPJ]

Greetings Royal Ranger!

TON'S of new stuff has been added to the Website and much more is in the
works.
http://www.rangerdj.com/whatsnew.html

First of all... SEND ME YOUR Royal Rangers PHOTOS.
I am working on a new section called "Royal Rangers in Action!", a pictorial
of the Royal Rangers Program. I am especially looking for older pictures but
I need lots of recent ones to. I want to include as many different events as
possible that Royal Rangers participate in. Please title and date the
picture along with identifying the district.
Warm up the scanner, fire up the digital camera or send me hard copies with
a SASE and I will ensure that they get returned within two weeks. (Please
send only pictures that show at least some of your Royal Rangers in
uniform.)

Finally "How to start a successful outpost" is online! I receive many
requests in this area and I feel that I have come to a point where it is
ready for viewing, but far from being complete. (Website's are never
completed, just abandoned) My prayer is that it will be useful in helping
churches get their new outpost off to a good start in reaching, teaching and
keeping boys and girls for Jesus Christ!!

For those already involved in an outpost looking for a good shot in the arm,
check out the "How healthy is your outpost?" section and the ever popular
"Outpost Activities" section. Don't forget to send me some of your great
outpost activity ideas before you leave this area.

Ever wish you had a multi-page handout you can give to your Royal Ranger's
Parents? Well, thanks to Sid Zeiler from Missouri, these fantastic packages
are now available for download in the RR computer files section. Sid has
produced fantastic documents that are chocked full of the answers that all
your RR parents ask. Like how much are uniforms? Materials required, point
systems, advancements, permission slips and much much more. A great resource
for not only the Royal Rangers Parent but also for the new Royal Ranger!!

Well, pinewood derby time has come and gone, and it gave me the necessary
inspiration to finally create an area dedicated to that cute little pine
block of wood. Everything you ever wanted to know about pinewood derby cars,
but were afraid to ask is posted here. From hints on winning, to car design
and crafting ideas. http://www.rangerdj.com/pinederby.html

Now if you want to be touched by a story of a great commander couple here in
Pensacola, read Hannah's story. Proof that God still gives us the desires of
our heart. All His promises are true! http://www.rangerdj.com/hannah.html

OK, for all you non-webbies out there. I've finally created a section on
making a simple outpost page. Just copy the sample, replace the text, post
to your web space and walah, instant website for your outpost!! Just give me
a little more time to put the finishing touches on it. (Yea, right... I've
heard that before!)

Looking for Ranger Humor? Check out "You know your a Ranger if..." section.
Here are a few excerpts:
You know your a Royal Ranger if....
Half of your living room decorations go to Rendezvous with you.
You didn't mind losing power to your house for three days.
Your pastor tells you that he doesn't want a real campfire in the sanctuary
while you conduct a Council of Achievement. (submitted by John Cates)
Plus many more! Submit your own, after your done reading the rest of them.
:-)

Speaking of submitting your own.... Have you submitted your outpost to the
Royal Rangers Map and Links page? Over 1100 outposts around the world are
now listed!! Many with links to outpost websites or email addresses to
members of the outpost. Most say it's the ultimate Royal Rangers links page
on the Net. http://www.rangerdj.com/rrmap.html

Hey Fellow Frontiersman! Are you looking for that perfect outfit to wear to
your next Royal
Rangers/Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship event? When you attend Royal
Rangers/FCF functions are you lacking that unique costume which defines your
character? Well, look no further! I have just the answer for you.
Primitives Unlimited! Who is Primitives Unlimited you ask? They are a
online company which creates period clothing dated from the 1800s
specifically for the Royal Rangers/FCF Program. You're sure to find
something to suit your needs at their website!
